Moratorium on Events Until February 7th

November 20, 2020

Baylor Faculty and Staff,

In light of the steadily increasing COVID-19 cases on Baylor’s campus and McLennan County, the President’s Council (based on the Baylor COVID-19 Health Management Team’s recommendation) has implemented a moratorium on all events until February 7. Please note that this date is subject to change based on COVID-19 conditions at the time but represents our best planning based on our return to campus this fall.  The Health Management Team will not approve any event proposals before that date. However, events that have already been approved by the team may continue as planned.

Small groups of 10 or less may still gather, but maintaining physical distancing and wearing face coverings, whether indoors or outdoors, is required. We strongly encourage those wishing to meet in small groups to consider connecting virtually instead of in-person.

The Health Management Team continually assesses the campus and community COVID-19 conditions and will share any changes or additional guidance regarding events with the Baylor community.

We thank you for your continued vigilance in adhering to the University’s strong COVID-19 preventive measures and patience as we work to maintain the health and safety of our Baylor Family.
