Mobile Flu Vaccination Clinics, Special Moderna Booster Clinic Available for Students and Employees

WACO, Texas (Sept. 27, 2022) - With health experts expecting a more intense flu season this year, Baylor University Health Services will host mobile flu vaccination clinics* for students and employees at locations throughout campus in October and November.

In addition, Health Services will hold an extended COVID-19 vaccination clinic** to give the new Moderna bivalent booster from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, in the lounge area on the first floor of the McLane Student Life Center.

FLU SHOT CLINICS DATES/HOURS

Baylor Health Services will hold its mobile flu vaccination clinics on:

Tuesday, Oct. 4
3 to 4:30 p.m. in the SUB Beckham Room
Held in conjunction with Dr Pepper Hour

Tuesday, Oct. 18
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Piper Great Hall at Truett Seminary

Friday, Oct. 28
11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in room 124 in the Foster Campus for Business and Innovation

Friday, Nov. 4
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the lobby of the Sid Richardson Building

Friday, Nov. 11
12:30 to 1:45 p.m. in room 100 of Morrison Hall

*Flu shots are available for students and employees only.

Advance appointments are preferred, but walk-in appointments for the flu shot will be available. Students, faculty and staff can make appointments in advance for any of the flu clinics through the Health Portal on the Baylor Health Center website.

There is no out-of-pocket charge for the flu vaccination, but if you do have health insurance, please bring your insurance card with you or send your insurance information to health_services@baylor.edu.

MODERNA BOOSTER CLINIC

Baylor Health Services will hold its special Moderna booster clinic on:

Friday, Sept. 30
1 to 4 p.m., first floor lounge area, McLane Student Life Center

**The Moderna booster is available for students and employees, as well as spouses and dependents (ages 18 and older) of students and employees. An individual (18 and older) receiving the new Moderna booster must have completed their initial COVID-19 vaccination series (of Pfizer, Moderna or Janssen) or been boosted at least two months prior.

No walk-in appointments will be available because of the limited supply of the Moderna bivalent booster. Students, faculty and staff can make appointments for this special clinic in advance through the Health Portal on the Baylor Health Center website. If you are making a booster appointment for a spouse or dependent, you will need to call the Health Center at 254-710-1010. These appointments cannot be made online.
